The NextDent 5100 supports numerous dental and orthodontic applications. Facilities utilize the platform to produce orthodontic models, crown and bridge models, surgical guides, splints, night guards, try-in dentures, and long-term dentures. Additionally, the system produces long-term temporaries, pressable wax restorations, and sacrificial castings for dental appliances using high-speed Figure 4 technology.

The NextDent 5100 is compatible with 30 unique NextDent biocompatible materials as well as Daylight Magna resins. These specialized resins support various medical and dental devices, including surgical guides, provisionals, and dental models. The materials are listed with the FDA and are CE-certified in accordance with Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The platform is fully compatible with industry-standard intra-oral scanning solutions and dental CAD software. Digital manufacturing workflows easily connect through standard network options, including USB, Ethernet, and WiFi connectivity. This seamless integration allows laboratories and clinics to import scan data directly, prepare digital models, and proceed to production without requiring proprietary scanning hardware.

The NextDent 5100 features a build volume of 124.8 x 70.2 x 196 mm (4.9 x 2.8 x 7.7 inches) with a print speed of 13.3 mm per hour. Curing speed ranges between 3 to 8 seconds per layer at 100 microns depending on the resin used, with selectable layer thicknesses of 25, 50, 100, or 200 microns.
