3D printed RealWax patterns replace traditional hand-carved or injection-molded wax models in investment casting. Systems such as the ProJet MJP 2500IC and ProJet MJP 300W Plus produce 100% wax patterns directly from CAD files without tooling. These melt out cleanly during standard burnout processes, enabling rapid casting of precision metal components, customized jewelry pieces, bridge manufacturing, and complex consolidated metal designs.

Dental additive manufacturing systems and compatible materials carry stringent medical and dental clearances. Certain printing systems and materials maintain 510(k) clearance from the US FDA. Furthermore, dedicated biocompatible resins comply with Medical Device Directive standards, carry CE certification for clinical use, and feature material traceability for applications including long-term dentures, crown and bridge models, splints, and surgical guides.
